Living and working in the Hudson Valley we are in awe of the beautiful ever changing surroundings. The inspiration for this styled shoot comes from an appreciation of our local dairy farms. We look to capture its organic feel to inspire couples to think outside the box during their venue search. Ronnybrook Farm Dairy has been raising cows on their farm for over 70 years in Pine Plains, NY, where the rolling hills are breath-taking! Blush, sage and cream blended naturally at our Ronnybrook Farm location. A gorgeous Holstein cow was the perfect prop against the Marisa Bridals gown provided by Chamonix Bride. Hair by Lindsay Baxter and make up by Angela Orr provided our models with a timeless vintage look. At the top of “Globe Hill” (located on the 350 acre farm), Clifton Park Rental Center set up an amazing Sperry Tent, where the flags on top could sail freely in the breeze. Keeping with a romantic farm feeling, rustic cross back chairs, cream linens, simple greenery and mixed vintage china from North Country Vintage Rentals, kept the look elegant yet casual. The use of an antique 1965 Ford pickup truck pulled it all together and Alicia King Photography captured the perfect sunset moments with our models Tori and Aaron. As dusk approached, incredible views of the Catskills and Berkshire Mountains stole our hearts, reminding us all how lucky we are to call the Hudson Valley “home”.

Chatham, MA

Anniversary

Erik & Allison have been coming to Chatham, Cape Cod with their six boys for the past 10 years. Erik vacationed on Cape with his family as a teenager and grew to appreciate the quaint, charming architecture and history. Their busy family has made Chatham a second home. They travel to the East Coast for one month a year exploring the ocean and enjoying all that Cape Cod has to offer a young family.

When we approached this couple about a wedding shoot on the Cape they welcomed the idea as they were approaching their 14th wedding anniversary. Erik works in Charter Education and Allison stays home with their beautiful boys. The thought of getting dressed up and enjoying a glass of champagne at sunset on Pleasant Bay Beach was delightful to the couple.

Our inspiration for the shoot came from the historic town itself. Chatham, Massachusetts is by far one of America’s most recognized quintessential towns. The American flag is the color theme for this patriotic village, so red, white and blue color palette it would be. We would use Erik’s vintage 1969 VW bus as a statement prop. Working with incredibly talented local vendors, we put together a dreamy beach anniversary wedding shoot boasting incredible ocean views with stunning sunset light. Vintage pieces and classic attire in white and navy were magical against the sand and grassy dunes of the beach.

It was obvious during the shoot that Erik & Allison are crazy for one another. Witnessing their love and the bond they have with their children was truly beautiful. When asked where they see their marriage & family in the future, they simply stated “We know we will miss when our children are no longer little, but we also look forward to the times together when they have their own families & we make even more memories together, in the same places we all visited as a family. “
